Standard GPS algorithms are designed for one variable: velocity. For the urban cyclist, however, velocity is often secondary to Safe Commuting. At Safe Streets Map, we’ve re-engineered the routing protocol to prioritize "Low-Stress" corridors—streets that offer physical protection via bollards, grade separation, or significantly reduced speed limits.
Our current Urban Navigation model filters out high-speed arterials in favor of verified secondary paths. By utilizing the Tactical View on our dashboard, users can identify corridors that minimize interaction with heavy transit vectors.
